RESTARTING POLICE REFORM

The Brattleboro community safety committee was supposed to start a civilian-led process, but the police took charge of the safety committee report, and many recommendations were rejected without public hearing. If you’re interested, please attend, and we will discuss:

– Brattleboro Common Sense SAFE Policing plan (since 2017),
– police with guns in public schools (SRO) and at public meetings,
– recommendations of the committee
– civilian control and supervision of police, and
– your ideas for police reform.

BCS consultant Officer Graeme Donald of Police Scotland and Professor Etan Nasreddin-Longo will be on hand.
