LET EARTH BREATHE / Teapot Tempest

The Climate Crisis campaign of Brattleboro Common Sense (BCS) revealed its next step at  the Windham South East School Union meeting Tuesday night. After admonishing the school directors for failing to educate students about climate change a BCS worker proposed a resolution to include Climate Crisis on the agenda of every regular meeting of the school directors. One person spoke against the resolution, and after an enthusiastic debate the resolution was approved. This provides procedural powers for people to address climate crisis at the school board meetings. The first matters will be restarting a debate on the proposed $1M plastic athletic field surface. A few people spoke against the $1M plastic astroturf proposed for the high school athletic field during the debate on the $50M school budget.
